The Berkner High School
Booster Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting all Berkner
athletics including the Varsity and Jr. Varsity boys’ and girls’ sports, the
Varsity and Jr. Varsity Cheerleaders, the Bandoleras, and the BHS Band. The Booster Club also provides scholarships
through the Jimmy Meyers and Chase Walton Memorial Scholarship Funds.
Our
goal is to provide funding beyond the district’s allocations, which enable
these programs to enrich the high school experience of our student athletes as
well as students in associated programs. A few examples of items the Booster
Club has provided are: record board for the natatorium, Ram mascot uniforms,
new sound system for the gymnasium & the ‘B’ field, weight room equipment
& training tables, new lockers, improvements to the baseball field and
fence, basketball return machine, new swim parkas and assistance with Bandolera
props. Our contributions are made
possible by fundraising through advertisement sales for the fall Football
Program, membership dues, Berkner merchandise sales (green sales), and
corporate donations. Your Booster Club membership provides you with a copy of
the Ram Pride newsletter. A portion of
your membership dues includes a donation to the scholarship funds.
Your membership and
participation are critical to the success of the Booster Club’s ability to
support these programs. The Booster Club provides the opportunity for parents
to work together to support the
students, coaches, faculty, and administration in every way possible. Together,
as one big team, we can instill a sense of pride and excellence in academics as
well as sports.
